Quarantined Day 7...

So you’ve been quarantined…

Feeling lonely, unmotivated to do at home workouts, and in general motivated to do much of anything?

Maybe you need to augment your thinking a bit...and realize this gift of time, could be put to good use!

It is the perfect time to re-evaluate your personal, athletic, and relationship goals. Give yourself some time and space to establish what these actually are!

From there make a plan of attack, start small, gain momentum.

Create a daily schedule for yourself, don’t forget about daily hygiene, a very small but powerful step in creating a sense of normalcy.

Don’t spend hours on social media normally...well why are you doing it now? This could be contributing to some of your feelings. Shared commiserating is a powerful thing, and it can be used to heal or perpetuate feelings that you should feel sorry for yourself. Be careful about what you are consuming.

None of us can control what’s going on...but you can control how you are reacting to all of it.

Use your technology to keep up connections if you are feeling lonely, ACTUALLY TALK to people...like you can call them ya know. You can do shared Zoom calls and workout with your friends if your motivation around working out is low.

You have created so many powerful habits within your normal schedule already, keep them going! I’m sure after work several times a week your motivation is low but you know moving at the gym will make you feel better...it is no different now! Motion is lotion, getting the blood pumping will get your endorphins pumping.

Use this time to your benefit, it’s the perfect time to get better with your diet, be learning new skills you’ve been putting off, finishing that project at home you’ve been staring at for the last six months! Get to it!
