COVID PROTOCOLS
SINCE MARCH 2020 - KEEPING IT CLASSY (& CLEAN).
THERE’S NO WAY AROUND IT. THE COVID-19 EPIDEMIC HAS IMPACTED ALL OF US IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS. THE YEAR OF 2020 WILL GO DOWN IN TOTAL INFAMY AS A CLUSTER F*$K OF EPIC PROPORTIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS & SMALL BUSINESSES ALIKE
Here in Ohio, we’ve been under strict Responsible Restart Ohio guidelines for quite a few months now. We know we were one of the few facilities in our local industry to react quickly in March to the crisis. Since then, we have continually put measures in place to meet the needs of our community leaders. Team DG Staff & Athletes come in from all over Ohio, so we’ve invested time, effort, and capital to vastly improve our facility, sanitation, and services to handle these guidelines. Here is the low-down:
SOCIALLY-DISTANCED CLUB:
We have rearranged our facility to accommodate increased training & equipment spacing, and we have marked out the facility for individual training areas. We also have reservations in effect for peak hours. While we continue to encourage clients to train socially distanced, we provide & train all of our clients on proper use of self-spotting & safety equipment within the facility.
Note, however, this is a barbell club, and our staff knows that social distancing would become second-priority in a specific incident of acute physical safety.
STAFF PROTOCOLS & HEALTH CHECKS:
Our staff have their own protocols when working with clients (e.g., LMT Services), and perform health assessments before coming into work. We also perform contact tracing when any exposure incidents arise with our staff.
SKIN-SAFE CLEANING SUPPLIES:
We partnered with a pro-cleaning company (Zogics) to provide us contact-safe & CDC-approved cleaners & disinfectants for use across our facility. No itchy rashes here!

What we love:
The products are sold as concentrates, with an easy to measure cap. So no more wasted products for us, no shipping just water, and less plastic waste!
FULL-FACILITY DISINFECTION:
We invested in electrostatic & cold-ULV disinfecting equipment (like NASA uses) to enable us to fully disinfect the facility, all equipment, touchpoints, and soft surfaces — all in under 20-Minutes. This process happens daily, and sometimes many times daily. It’s fun to run around like some sort of COVID-Fighting Ghostbuster.
So what is an electrostatic disinfector?
Broadly, it is a tool that uses electrically-charged particles for even, complete disinfecting coverage. These charged droplets now really want to find neutral surfaces to stick and even wrap around, leading to a much more even and fuller application than your standard spray bottle.
This coverage lasts until the next time the surface is touched. It does not provide a protective coating, but it does effectively kill the virus that causes COVID when used in conjunction with PURTABS.

We also provide no-touch hand sanitizer across the facility.
